Treat yourself to a VIRTUAL tour around some of the world's best whisky sites.

Our Process

We work with and invite some of the best Whisky distilleries to produce 3D Virtual Tours of their sites which, for some of our current clients, have proven invaluable throughout the  COVID lockdowns.

These tours work extremely well for those hard-to-reach destinations but also act as an incentive for visitors looking to plan future visits.

You can navigate the tours via your mouse and keyboard but also via the Quest 2 headset.

New Addition

The new addition to the Cotswold's Distillery (still under construction)

We can't share too much information at this time but this distillery has an interesting story behind it, from how it was built, to it's new cooling systems.  It's still under construction but will be a great addition to an already amazing site.

Mackmyra Gravity Distillery

At Mackmyra we strive to make our whisky in the most modern, efficient, visitor-friendly, and environmentally-friendly way possible. To achieve this aim, we decided to build the world’s most climate-smart distillery. In 2011, our Gravity Distillery was finally ready.

Standing 35 metres tall, as the name suggests this building makes use of gravity throughout the whisky-making process. It was designed by the architect's TEA whose mission was to imbue the building with a character that captures the essence of Mackmyra: playfulness, sensuality, and qualitative production.

The Cotswolds Distillery was established in 2014, and is one of the few distilleries producing English whisky. The initial development of the distillery was assisted by Harry Cockburn and Dr. Jim Swan. Production began on 5 September 2014, with the first cask of single malt whisky filled on 22 September 2014

annandale.jfif

From the website "We’re often asked why we took on the Annandale Distillery project. Most people seem to expect a rational and well-considered answer from two (hopefully) sane scientists-cum-business people, possibly alluding to return on investment, diversification of business interests, and the like. Others expect to hear something about a lifelong dream or a passion for whisky or something of the sort. Although both of these may have been contributing influences, the truth of the matter is rather different. Although he didn’t necessarily realise it at the time, David Thomson, being an expatriate Scot, was looking to do something that would anchor his life back to his native Scotland. Teresa Church, the other member of the founding duo, has an enduring passion for restoring old buildings. Through her visionary lens, the intrinsic beauty of Annandale’s historic buildings shone brightly through the dilapidation, the decay, and the dereliction. For both of them, Annandale Distillery was a case of ‘love at first sight’…and every bit as irrational and unfathomable as that!"

Regrettably little is known of The Globe’s landlords and landladies before Robert Burns arrived in Dumfries. However, much more is known of the sixty year tenure of Mrs. Jane Smith, one of only three families to have run The Globe from Burns’ era until 2018, when the inn was bought by David & Teresa of Annandale Distillery. Mrs. Smith, perhaps more than any other, was responsible for preserving the Globe’s association with the National Bard. She was held in great affection by The Burns Howff Club, who often addressed her as the ‘Mother’. Indeed Mrs. Smith and her niece, Mrs. Grierson, were the only female honorary members of the Howff Club until the inauguration of Maureen McKerrow (the most recent ‘past’ licensee and owner) in 1996, during the bi-centenary celebrations.

in 2018 as well as having restored Annandale to its former Glory, David & Teresa bought The Globe, primarily to preserve the Burns Rooms. To this end, they have invested heavily in a sympathetic restoration of the entire property, with a view to building up a commercially viable hostelry that’s capable of sustaining the historic Burns Rooms for many generations to come.

Ardnahoe.png

Ardnahoe Distillery is one Scottish family’s dream unfolding as well as being the next chapter in the captivating story of the Whisky Isle of Islay.

The Laing family, having been involved in the Scottish whisky industry for generations, are highly respected in their field. As a young man in the 1960’s Stewart Laing came to work at the Bruichladdich Distillery where he began to learn the fine art of distillation. It was here, on the island, his love for Islay and its whisky was ignited.

Stewart’s two sons, Andrew and Scott, are following in their father’s footsteps – making Ardnahoe a wholly family-owned business: a rarity in today's scotch whisky industry.

Ardnahoe prides itself on being a modern distillery, set beautifully in a stunning location, that employs rigorously traditional methods and values. The spirit being produced is sweet, smoky and smooth yet peaty and spicy – unique and dynamic to its very core.

Come join us - as a dream becomes reality and the present becomes the future of Islay whisky.
